tRST Cards – Heads Up for Youth

Hey, Prince George youth! Watch for our awesome new tRST cards to be distributed by RCMP members, RCMP Auxiliary members and the Community Policing team.

We’d like to reward you for doing the RIGHT STUFF like wearing a bike helmet, using the crosswalk, picking up garbage that might not be yours, driving the speed limit and generally making healthy life choices.

You may receive a tRST card for a FREE large sandwich at McDonald’s OR a card for a FREE youth drop in pass at the Family “Y”.  We believe in you and hope in turn you’ll continue to do the right stuff!

Thank you to our sponsors McDonald’s and the Family “Y” for making the tRST cards possible.

Crime Prevention Week November 1st - 7th

Prince George Community Policing and the British Columbia Crime Prevention Society (www.bccpa.org) invites you to become involved in the annual Crime Prevention Week!

This year’s theme is “Prepare - Prevent - Protect”.
We hope to remind all citizens that they play a key role in preventing crime and in keeping our communities safe throughout the year. Each day of Crime Prevention Week 2011 has been given a different focus in order to broaden education and awareness within the community:

Crime Prevention Week provides an opportunity to bring members of the community together to participate in events that promote and support community safety.  Call or visit your nearest Community Policing office for more information on these issues or for other programs and services offered:

• Downtown – corner of 6th & Brunswick (575 Brunswick Street)
• Hart – behind Mr. G Convenience Store (3664 West Austin Road)

Volunteers are always welcome for Community Policing programs and initiatives.
