DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education)

DARE educates children at the crucial grade 5/6 level, which prepared them for entry into middle and high school, where they are most likely to encounter pressure to use drugs. The 10 lesson curriculum helps children to increase their self-esteem and provides them with the knowledge and skills to help them refuse drugs and resist violence.
Nearly every child will be offered the opportunity to experiment with drugs before they finish high school. DARE uses interactive role playing to teach children ways to refuse these offers.
