Park Watch is a partnership program that involves Community Policing, the RCMP, the City of Prince George and you. The program incorporates regular park users as the “eyes and ears” for the RCMP and the City. It is a group of concerned citizens who observe, record and report suspicious activities and persons in designated city parks. Park Watch is run similarly, and in some cases, in conjunction with the Block Watch program. The Park Watch program is as easy as distributing brochures about Park Watch, a public meeting inviting interested neighbours to kick off the program and installing Park Watch signs. Protect your park, your neighbourhood, your community, your city … for more information on how you can start a Park Watch group contact Community Policing at 250-561-3366.
